Special Occation in a Frugaĺ Way

Yesterday was a hectic day. My dear daughter, Aisya has inauguration ceremony at her school. She needed to wearing a special costum "kebaya". Since she is enrolled at Islamic school, she should wore hijab.
For some instance, special occation in  hijab style is not cheap at all.  It is need special make up, accesories and of course the hijab.  That why, we try to make ourselves
Here the result.
We make the flower hairpin. We also no need to go to beautician to make up the appearance. For shaping the hijab, I learn from youtube. There were so many hijab tutorial  (thanks source!, GBU). Just did it ourselves

How to get delicious meal on a cheap way

Nothing to do, but make it your self.  As a mother, I always think about what my children will have for braakfast till dinner.  Of course  I try to make them satisfied especially on these days when they face some examinations at their school.
This one is my son fave meal.."siomay". If I buy this kind of meal, it will be about Rp. 7000 ( app 70 cent) for four  small ones, but I usually make my self. With Rp. 20.000-25.000 (depend on the ingredient inside) I got about 20-25 bigger siomay.

 I also consistent using banana leaf for healthy but eficient ha...ha...

When Indonesian Mom want to being Frugal

As working Mom, I think I'm quite internet literate. Of course I like to know what women do in other side of world.  I like to blog walking and get inspired. some of that is this site give me some idea to save money.

I also interested in preparing meal, of course in a frugal way...Some frugal living sites using apples, chickens or cheese that mentioned as a cheap ingredient, but.... in Indonesia those are still expensive!!!  this is my big problem as Indonesian.

my solution is....some ingredient especially protein source substituted by tahu and tempe which are relatively cheaper than others...ha...ha...

that is why, my spaghetti will be topped by tempe.  Thank God, my children never protest. they named the meal as soya chip spaghetti.
